June 24th 1938 - May 25th 2025

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Robert L. Arnold Jr. "Bob" —a beloved leader, mentor, and friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Bob was the proud owner of Cooper Corvettes from 2001 until 2017, and even after stepping away from ownership, he remained an active and passionate presence in the company until his retirement in 2024. For over two decades, Bob was the heart and soul of Cooper Corvettes. Whether you were a lifelong enthusiast or just stepping through our doors for the first time, you were sure to be greeted by Bob—the man behind the desk, always ready to help make someone’s dream car a reality. What set Bob apart was not just his deep knowledge of cars, but the unmistakable character he brought to every interaction. His unique blend of laid-back humility and tireless dedication created an atmosphere where customers felt like family and employees felt like partners. He had a way of making people feel seen and valued, often offering a perfectly timed metaphor or bit of wisdom that made even the hardest days a little lighter. Bob was a man who cherished his friends, his team, and most of all, his family. He gave generously—not just in the material sense, but with his time, his kindness, and his belief in others. No one left a conversation with Bob unchanged. He had a gift for bringing people together, for lifting them up, and for celebrating every shared success, big or small. Whether you were a first-time visitor to the shop or a longtime member of the Cooper Corvettes family, you were treated with dignity, compassion, and warmth. That was Bob’s way—always generous, always kind, and always driven to make the people and the business around him better. We will forever be grateful for the legacy Bob leaves behind—a legacy built not only on classic cars, but on respect, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to those he cared about. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. We extend our sincerest condolences to his family, his friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him. May Bob rest in peace, and may his memory continue to inspire all of us who had the honor of walking part of the road alongside him.
